Job Summary:

CLINIQUE PODIATRIQUE DE L’ESTRIE INC. is currently seeking a friendly and organized Medical Clinic Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Clinic Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients visiting our clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, handle inquiries, schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and assist with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls, screen and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of the clinic’s resources.
  • Collect and enter patient information into the electronic medical records system accurately.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process necessary paperwork.
  • Provide information to patients about clinic procedures, services, and policies.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues or redirect them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain the reception area’s cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Manage and organize patient files and medical records in a confidential and secure manner.
  • Assist medical staff with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Collaborate with other clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient care.
  • Stay up to date with clinic policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality guidelines when handling patient information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and a compassionate demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic medical records, and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
