We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Clerk at our hotel in Canada. This position offers visa sponsorship opportunities for qualified candidates who are foreign nationals seeking to work in Canada. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in ensuring their overall satisfaction during their stay.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon their arrival.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using the computerized reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process guest payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Assist guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest complaints or issues in a calm and efficient manner, escalating to the appropriate department if necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including the lobby and guest waiting areas.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Handle reservations, including taking bookings over the phone, email, or online platforms.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel records.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess a valid work visa or have the ability to obtain visa sponsorship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using computerized reservation systems and other hotel software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry, is an asset.
- Knowledge of additional languages, apart from English, is advantageous but not mandatory.
