Key Responsibilities:
- Train Operations: Safely operate and control freight trains in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Safety: Ensure the safety of crew members, train passengers, and the public by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Train Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of locomotives and freight cars to identify and report maintenance issues.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients and shippers, including responding to inquiries and assisting with freight loading and unloading.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of train movements, cargo, and incidents.
- Emergency Response: Respond to train emergencies and incidents to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Railroad Experience: Previous experience in railroad operations or a related field is an advantage.
- Safety Awareness: Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for coordinating train movements and responding to incidents.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varying weather conditions.
- Visa Sponsorship: Must require visa sponsorship to work legally in the USA.
