Key Responsibilities:
- Livestock Management: Manage and oversee the health, well-being, and breeding programs of livestock, including cattle, swine, or other animals, depending on the organization’s focus.
- Breeding Programs: Implement and manage livestock breeding programs, including artificial insemination and genetic selection.
- Health and Welfare: Ensure the health, nutrition, and welfare of livestock through regular monitoring and veterinary care.
- Data Collection: Collect and record data related to livestock performance, genetics, and health.
- Client Interaction: Interact with clients to provide guidance on livestock management and breeding strategies.
- Training: Provide training and education to clients and team members on best practices in livestock management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in animal science, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
- Livestock Experience: Previous experience in livestock management and breeding is required.
- Animal Welfare: Strong commitment to animal welfare and ethical livestock management practices.
