Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping: Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Payroll Processing: Process employee payroll, including wage calculations, tax deductions, and superannuation contributions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Invoicing and Payments: Generate and manage invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable and payable.
  4. Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses, including tracking receipts, expense reports, and budget adherence.
  5. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  6. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  7. Payroll Compliance: Stay up-to-date with payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  8. Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial and payroll documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer or in a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or related qualifications are preferred.
